What are EnVogue Lashes® eyelash extensions made of?
EnVogue Lashes®  are a synthetic material that is molded to properly adhere to your natural lashes with a fine polished tip that is lightweight and natural looking.

 Will EnVogue Lashes
® lash extensions damage my natural lash?
No. With skilled application, normal maintenance and care, the lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes. However using extensions that are too heavy, too long or applying multiple “flared” extensions could cause your natural lashes to shed earlier than normal. Taking a “break” from the lashes for a month or two should be encouraged if you see premature shedding.

How many lash extensions are applied to each eye and how long will it take?
With EnVogue Lashes™ Ultra Bond Quick Set Adhesive, an average “lush” application of 45 to 60 lashes can be applied in 1 to 1 ½ hours.

How long will the lash extensions stay on?
With our Ultra Bond Quick Set Adhesive, the lash extensions will stay on anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. The bond life depends on many things such as: Proper after care, proper preparation, proper application, using the correct size lash, excessive crying and natural lash turnover. For longest bond life, the lash extension should be no longer than 1/3 to 1/2 the length of the natural lash. Excessive steam will also affect the bond life. Natural lash turnover is 60 to 90 days.

What type of glue is Ultra Bond Adhesive?
EnVogue Lashes® Ultra Bond Quick Set Adhesive is known as a cyanoacrylate. To date, all eyelash extension adhesives are some form of cyanoacrylate. Click here for more detailed information on cyanoacrylates.

 Why is your glue better?
EnVogue Lashes® Ultra Bond Quick Set Adhesive is a medical grade, no odor, black adhesive that is poured in small batches exclusively for EnVogue Lashes™ here in the United States. When following our instructions, our adhesive also sets within 3 to 5 seconds basically allowing you to place an eyelash extension and move on to the next application almost immediately. This also eliminates the need for blow drying each lash and excessive clumping so the lashes look more natural. Following our suggested prep procedure, it strongly bonds the lash extension to the natural lash without the breakage risk of other brittle quick set (formaldehyde) adhesives. There is no added formaldehyde and no fumes to irritate the eyes.  It is also thinner than the other eyelash extension adhesives available making it easier to work with and ideally making a stronger bond then equivalent thicker adhesives.  From Wikipedia, "cyanoacrylate is applied thinly, to ensure that the reaction proceeds rapidly and a strong bond is formed within a reasonable time."  "a very thin layer bonds more effectively than a thicker one".  See above paragraph for link to further information on cyanoacrylates. Click here for the adhesive MSDS.

Why should I buy your lash extensions?
EnVogue Lashes® is committed to supplying you with the best value and quality for your money. Our lashes are permanently curled with finely polished tips for a weightless and natural look. Plus our lashes come in a large, roomy acrylic container (prevents wasteful spillage)! We purchase our synthetic eyelash extensions from top of the line South Korean manufacturers because we believe the quality is better and because we feel they pay their workers a better living wage then they do in China. NOTE: DUE TO MULTIPLE REQUESTS FOR SILK EYELASH EXTENSIONS WE ARE NOW OFFERING A VERY LIMITED AMOUNT WHICH ARE MANUFACTURED IN CHINA.

What is the difference between Silk and Simulated Mink lash extensions?
The main difference is that the Silk eyelash extensions have a slightly longer taper so the Silks are a bit lighter and softer than the Minks.  Both types are made of a synthetic material and are not actually made from silk or mink. The Silk lashes are made in China by our personally picked, highly qualified vendor and the synthetic Minks are made in South Korea.

What is the difference between the J curl, Flirty Curl,Girly Girl, Y and L curl?
The J curls are a very soft curl and are good for patterns like the "Cat Eye".  Our Flirty Curl is similar to the standard "B" curl and is our most popular curl.  Our Girly Girl is similar to the standard "C" curl.  These are a half circle curl and gives a very curly look.  They are also good for people with naturally curly eyelashes but are not the best for someone with very straight natural lashes. The "Y" curl is really two very thin eyelash extensions with a knotless join at the base.  This allows for two eyelash extensions to be placed at one time on one natural eyelash.  While this allows for a fuller look, they should only be used on someone with healthy, thick diameter natural eyelashes.  Our "L" curl has a longer straight base with a "B" type curl at the end.  This style is perfect for someone with very straight natural lashes because it allows for more contact between the natural eyelash and the extension yet gives a nice flip at the end.  Similar to when a person uses an eyelash curler on their natural lashes.

Why don’t you sell the thinner .010 inch diameter lashes?
Most women do not like the look of the thinner lashes. They want the fullest, lushest look that is safely possible. With our Ultra Bond Quick Set Adhesive, it is possible to apply the thicker .015 inch lashes to the thinner natural lash clients when proper length rules are upheld. If the client wishes the longer length, inform them that more frequent touch up appointments may be needed. You will be surprised how readily they will agree in order to have thicker, longer lashes for the first time in their lives. Plus, it means more business for you. Another alternative is to use our simulated Mink lashes. They are softer and lighter weight for the same diameter.

Regarding using multiple thinner extensions on one natural lash (Volume lashes, Russian lashes, 3D, 4D etc.) we feel that adding that many lashes with the additional adhesive needed to bond to a natural lash on a regular basis can cause the natural lash to fall out earlier (and possibly permanently) and every customer should be informed of this possibility.  If you do not have long, thick natural lashes then it is likely your lashes won't be able to handle more then 20% more thickness or weight then your own lash without enduring damage.  It is fine for an event (which is why we describe the technique in our Manual) but not for long term wear.  Eyelash extensions are meant to safely replace the use of mascara, not give you the look of false eyelash strips or cause possible Alopecia. It generally takes about a year to see the Alopecia (permanent hair loss) in customers who get these services continuously but eventually it comes to those who have this technique done, especially as you get older.

Why don't your kits come in a makeup type case like the other companies?
From the beginning, EnVogue Lashes® made the commitment to offer good quality products for reasonable prices.  When we put our kits together it was with an eye to including only items that were needed and would be used.  While we can't possibly include every single thing a successful eyelash extension business will need, we were careful to not include extraneous items just to make a bigger profit.  Items like cotton swabs, cups, sponges, excess marketing materials (you can buy more brochures and appointment cards if you want them) makeup tools and yes, makeup travel cases (we doubt you will need one but if you do you can buy it cheaper at one of your local stores).  Instead we put all our kit items in biodegradable boxes to keep the costs down.  We also promise to find equivalent or better items at better prices when possible to keep your total operating costs down while still staying in business ourselves. We are also trying to be as green as possible.  Remember, nothing is really free.  The customer always pays for it through markups, inferior products etc.

Can a person really learn to apply lash extensions from a training video?
You bet!  If you can do hair, nails, permanent makeup, facials etc. you already have the dexterity to apply lash extensions. All you need is practice to get the coordination perfected of picking up the lash with one hand and separating the natural lashes with the other. Most training seminars are 80% practice sessions and you can do that at your own salon in your own time. Plus there are no hidden Terms and Conditions attached to our training. Once you buy the DVD you may train as many of your employees as you like. You just need to honor our copyright terms stated on the DVD. Our extensive training manual is an excellent accompaniment to the DVD making for the most complete training package available today. Thousands have learned from our training package and are now operating successful eyelash extension businesses around the world.

 Can anyone buy your products?
While anyone can buy our products, our glue and remover is for Professional use only. Purchasing through our website constitutes an agreement to our terms of purchase.  We cannot give advice on different state's policies regarding application of eyelash extensions.  We advise you to contact your own state's board of cosmetology for rules and regulations.

What are the going prices for applying lash extensions?
Depending on where you are located geographically, the amount of lashes applied and the exclusivity of your salon or studio you can charge $150 to $600 per initial application. We DO feel that the industry should not drop below $150 an hour as a minimum due to the tedious nature of the application.

 Do you offer training certificates?
Yes! Due to high demand, we now offer training certificates and they are free with the purchase of our Kits.  Instructions on sending in your pictures for review to obtain your certificate are clearly written on the back pages of the Training Manual as well as a sample of the certificate and examples of acceptable photos.

Why don't you have a contact phone number?
Due to the highly competitive nature of the eyelash extension business, we have chosen to help keep our cost down without risking quality by eliminating our phone number which allows us to answer emails by our smart phones which are all connected to the internet.  This allows someone to receive your message almost immediately and get back with you in the quickest way possible.
